Pregnancy Massage Therapy


Pregnancy Massage is a complementary choice for prenatal care. It is a healthy way to reduce stress and improve well being during pregnancy. Contrary to Sports Massage Therapy, a Pregnancy Massage has a more gentle approach. 


There are physical, psychological and emotional benefits of Pregnancy Massage Therapy. These include, but are not limited to, the following: reduced backache and joint pain, decreased swelling (edema), diminished stress and anxiety. Pregnancy Massage Therapy also gives rise to improved circulation and better sleep. 


Unlike a Sports Massage, Pregnancy Massages are normally conducted in a side lying position - and not on the client's back or front. Special care is taken when performing a Pregnancy Massage. The client's safety and comfort is of utmost important.
